Second year we stayed at Centara Villas Samui,the hotel is big, nice and very quiet, located in Laem Set and being the only hotel on that beach since their neighbor Laem Set Inn is abandoned since many years ago. The beach is sandy, but the sea is low, First time I was there in April (very low) this time in June (as low tide as before) nothing for swimmers, to get to deep sea you have to walk over corals and even thou it isn t really easy. The hotel offers Shuttle bus service to Chaweng and Lamai for 30 and 40 THB x person and way. Be aware to be on the meeting point at least 15 min. before pick up time as they were 10 min. early on our 11 o clock pick up time from Lamai and lefted us. We were forced to pay 10 times more (400 THB) for a taxi to get back. The Hotel has a very nice breakfast, with lot of choices to different palates, fruits, juices, food like pad Thai, pancakes, dim sum, salmon, cheese, egg station, you won t get bored, they also have buffet in the evening some days which are very good (aprox.850 THB x adult) The gym (located on the opposite side of the road where the Butterfly Garden is, is very complete. You can borrow mountain bikes from the hotel as well. there are 3 pools, 1 child friendly, another smaller but deeper where you can practice diving some day a week (but we never found anyone) and the butterfly pool by the beach. The staff in the reception and room cleaning ladies are all very kind and polite, but in the restaurant is only the female staff who is friendly. If you want to relax and enjoy a roomy bedroom and a nice swim in the pool and very good food this is the hotel for you. The hotel is beginning to need an update and as it is so isolated I would recommend to plan properly schedule activities for your guests, mostly young guests. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stayed at Centara from 5.3.14-10.3.14. All the good stuff..... We were welcomed from Centara with a welcoming drink upon check in, they advised that they upgraded us from the spa villa to the pool villa. Great news!! Bad stuff.. they failed to tell us that when upon arriving they were going to take 5000bht on the visa until you check out. Anyway after making that very clear that better communication is needed upon booking we went to our room and yes we were welcomed with an extra large king bed (very weird never seen that before) was two king single beds put together and a heart of petals. Pool was great as we were high up but was not very private.. the room was lovely, bathroom was very big with two shower heads, one fixed and one moveable. The lamp shade was hanging from the ceiling and dont forget to bring your keys when u take a swim in the pool cos you will lock yourself out as the door handle automatically locks you out as it was faulty (but hotel management say it s normal). Oh and the tv had really bad reception with not a big variety.. So we thought we d take a stroll to reception and have a chat with our concerns. Yes i am very grateful that we were upgraded to the pool villa.. but if i had to pay for this room i would expect it to all be working and safe. The manager offered us the premiem villa pool for our last two nights, so we took it up. that room was bigger with a huge bathroom, but unfortunately the showers (two shower heads) were barely working. The door knob in that room worked properly so we didnt have to take key everytime we stepped out the door so good news about that.. In saying that the breakfast were amazing.. great variety! The beach was beautiful but yes lots of walking, so be ready to walk lots to your room no matter how close you are to the food, pool area and reception, and by walk I mean up and down lots of steps but that didnt worry us too much as it s part of the resorts character. Car and scooter hire was available through the hotel and was nice and easy to organise. This is good as the resorts location in Samui is quite remote. Overall, we liked our stay at Centara Villas, most of the staff try their best to keep you happy and the facilities are adequate to good. We would probably opt for somewhere else next time we are in Samui though, [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Whery nice hotel, we booked a pool willa with ocean view, whery nice, but a bit cold in the wather, but i think its the cloudy wethers fault. nice service and good breackfast.

Centara Villas is a very good resort with good food, great service and a wonderful location. A bit off the main tourist areas, but easily accessible.

The Hotel is nice, relaxing and quiet.The Garden Villa is nice too., clean and roomy. The personal is not what I expected, as they have a possed smile, the restaurant was fine but in my opinion overpriced for what they serve. The only nice personal were the men on the beach hut (towels and games). I have a problem with a refund that it is still not solved (20+ days after) even thou I payed in advance via sawadee they charged my credit card and the refund hasn t been done. The Hotel is very nice. the staff is also very good, the beach is great, like a pool because of a natural rock formation that reduces waves, but can be very hot in the still water as well. Besides Centara is the old and abandoned Laem set Inn with lots of dogs oil spots in the sand and trash all over, that is the only bad I have to comment. The room is baic but confy I had a Garden View villa. breakfast buffet is exellent and e had dinner at the hotel tice, once was Thai Buffet for 850 THB per person, and it was deicious but a bit pricey comparing with the one for the dame price we had in Chaweng Beach at Regent Hotel. Overall a good hotel, I recommend it and i will stay there next time.They have shutte buss 25 THB x pers. to Lamai/ 50 THB to Chaweng per way. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

всё понравилось,не много устаешь от хождения вверх-вниз,если живешь высоко.были с маленькими детьми не много напрягало обилие лестниц и узкие дорожки.любителям шопинга и громких гуляний придется ехать до ламаи или чавенга,из отеля ходит автобус, по расписанию, до позднего вечера,но записаться на рейс лучше заранее.в ближайший магазин(1,6км) съездить проще на машине отеля(туда и обратно)договорившись на ресепшене.в киломметре от отеля находится зоопарк,в 13.30 в нем начинается представление,машину из зоо пришлют за вами,опять же,если вы обратитесь на ресепшен(туда-обратно бесплатно). из минусов -нет бесплатного wi-fi,а за деньги лимитированно и дорого.в остальном супер!!! Друзья были в Сентаре Гранд - остались безумно довольны. Мы выбрали Виллас Сентара. Местоположение отличное в саду, подальше от тусни. Когда на Чавенге были штормовые волны - мы на своем пляже отлично плавали. Персонал способен что то делать только за чаевые. В противном случае они холодно вежливы. В счете, который нам в конце выставили - были ошибки. Аннулировали лишнее даже не извинившись. В ресторане можно питаться только по вечернему меню (есть еще дневное) или на тематических ужинах. В-общем впечатление положительное. Но Самуи сам по себе - неоправданно дорог для Тайланда. Пхукет и маленькие островки рядом с ним в этом смысле дешевле, вкуснее и интереснее. This is the place to stay if you want to be in the not too over dveloped part of koh samui. the hotel runs regulr shuttles to the heavy tourist resorts so you can have the best fo both worlds here. the villas are well furnished and equipped although they are tightly packed together. still loads of building work going on but after we complained politely a few times we were upgrade foc from a standard garden villa to a pool villa with a sea view which was a treat, although frankly the pool could have done with a good clean! Having experienced both the top and bottom end of the accomodation available, if i were to stay here again i would not pay the extra for the allegedly higher end villas because they are only marginally better. Do visit the Cool bar along the beach and do eat at the Baracuda. if you want a bit of almost unspoilt samui, get a taxi to take you to the sunset beach for early dinner (it gets dark at 6.15) where there are about 6 little local restaurant all with a spectacular view of the sunset over the bay - the best is probably the beach at the far end. taxi shold cot more than about 200 baht but remember to negotiate first and arrange for them to come back and pick you up later. The hotel ammenities were excellent, the room was spacious, we selected a spa villa, so all was nice and clean and welcoming. What I didn t like about the hotel was that it was very difficult for me to subscribe to the activities in the hotel. Also they don t have 24 hours room service, and we reached the hotel from town late in the evening and my 3 year old asked to eat something and we weren t able to get anything from room service although we called about 5 minutes before they say they close the orders...

We book Delux Villa, there is no bathtub, but the web s picture show it has bathtub, I m still confused. there are many many flies when we eat breakfast,step on our food very often. other strong point is that show your room card may use installation in Centara Hotel in Chenweng beach.

The hotel was fine although it is a little old and some of the furnishings are not what I would expect for the price but to be honest Samui generally is just overpriced. We had a pool villa which was expensive but certainly worth it as it was lovely to have that privacy. Ultimately this is a resort for people who want to really be out of the way because it is half an hour and $20 to chaweng - the main town on the island. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

We stayed here for the last part of our stay in Samui after being in the busier Chaweng Beach. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle. A very relaxing place to stay. One negative is the price of food and drink, VERY overpriced for Samui...closer to prices at home. Breakfast was great...big buffet, all you can eat. The Villa was bright, clean and comfortable - was a little worse for wear. It was a great time of year to be here, plenty of space by the pool and beach. Rained only at night if it did rain. Enjoyable stay but not totally happy about the prices. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

The location and amenities of the hotel met our expectations. The villas are well appointed and the pools and facilities are good. The lobby area is quite comfortable to spend some time in the evening reading the newspapers or enjoying a drink. The free shuttle vans to the two towns help make the location acceptable. For certain, the location is more suitable for us than the busy and rather typical “strips” found in most thai tourists areas. The hotel offers moped rentals which is a good way to get out and explore on your own. The only negatives we could comment on are the breakfast which was poor compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at on samui and phuket. Also, the pools do not have enough loungers and towels. Some guests (you know who you are), took pride in occupying their loungers all day while using for less than a few hours. I think the staff needs to do a better job at managing the limited loungers and towels. Overall I would recommend the resort [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Lovely Hotel, although there is not much to do at night, so they might want to look ant some interesting things for the youth, also need some more interesting activeties on the beach. But other than that very neat and clean and a lovely venue. Staff was very freindly.
